The Fourteenth Sunday after Trinity
13th September
Additional Collect
Merciful God,
your Son came to save us
and bore our sins on the cross:
may we trust in your mercy
and know your love,
rejoicing in the righteousness
that is ours through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen
Holy Habits – Sharing Resources
We need to “sit lightly” on our possessions. They come from God. When we are prepared to give things away, they cease to have a hold on us. It changes our relationship to the item. What are your most treasured possessions? Make a list of those, with the most treasured at the top. Which things are shared? Which are your own? What would you be prepared to give away?
Sunday Services
It has been wonderful to be able to worship together in person again. We will be increasing the number of services in church in the next weeks, but places are still limited.
Following the government’s announcement this week restricting the number of people allowed to meet for a social gathering to six, we understand that the new regulations will not apply to public worship or individual prayer in church buildings.
If you would like to come, please contact Revd Elizabeth, stating the date, time and place of the church service you wish to attend (Email or phone 07758 407661). If that service is already full, we will let you know.
For more information about Sunday services and what to expect, please visit our website. Those who are unable to attend church in person can worship with us online. Find the latest online services on our website and YouTube.

Online ServicesWe are continuing to offer online worship for those who cannot attend on Sundays. From 13th September, this will be a mixture of purpose-made online worship and services recorded in church on the previous Sunday. New online worship will be released every Tuesday morning on our website and on YouTube.
The Julian Group and anyone who would like to join us, meets each in our own home at 7pm every Thursday. We light a candle and read a passage from the Bible followed by silence. Then we read the second passage followed by silence and ending with Compline or our own prayers. Different members choose the readings each week. Thursday 17th September they are Psalm 139. 6-9 and Hosea 6. 1-5.
Please pray for
The sick, among them Claudia Tom, Rosalind Smith & Jane Windeler and all affected by the coronavirus.
Pray for the NHS, care workers and all front line workers and volunteers. We pray for race equality and for all victims of race crime and brutality.
Remember all those who have died recently including Mary Stephens, Pauline White and Sharon Bristow. We remember those whose anniversary of death occurs at this time including Mike Larkin, Frederick Claude Buse and Teddy Rogers.
Taking it in turns to pray for each other – this week we pray for St Minver.
Home Groups and Daily Prayer
Our Home Groups are staying in touch via phone, email and social media. We are praying regularly, especially at 9am. If you would like hard copies of spiritual resources, or need help getting on to facebook, please contact
Revd Rose (01208 592353 – revrosejones@gmail.com).

Goods for St Petrocs
As it is not possible to have collection boxes in the churches at the moment this is a reminder that St. Minver Post Office is an alternative collecting point.
